Barrow Common is another excellent amenity for the Brancaster villages. Locals and visitors regularly walk around the common along Delgate and over the road in the centre, then down to the Jolly Sailors pub.  Situated at the highest local point, the panoramic view overlooks the villages, marshes, and the sea.

A variety of wildlife can be seen on the common, including rabbits and pheasants, even deer have been spotted.  This background video isn't actually filmed on the common, but Roe deer have been seen in the area along with the more common Muntjac deer.  There are a few parking places which are Available if required.

There is one building on the common, a concrete radar and lookout point built during the war years.  With views over the beach and sea, it was ideal for observation purposes.
