A stunning view of the mussel pond and marshes can be observed at the base of the White Horse Marsh bar. Commonly referred to as Murry's pond, it was utilized in the past to keep harvested mussels fresh before being sold at market. The posts visible indicate the locations of the mussel pits, which are still in use today.
